Vehicle recovery in Stoke-on-Trent

When you tell us you have broken down by the big Tesco in Hanley, or on the D road near the incinerator, you will not need to explain further.

Recovery across all six towns

Stoke-on-Trent is not one town centre — it is six, strung along the spine of the Potteries. Each has its own maze of terraced streets, one-way systems and car parks, and each generates its own share of flat batteries, failed clutches and misfuelled cars.

  • Tunstall
  • Burslem
  • Hanley
  • Stoke
  • Fenton
  • Longton

Our compact flatbed suits the city's tighter corners. Where a full-size recovery lorry has to stop at the end of the street, we can usually reach the vehicle itself — which matters when your car is wedged in a bay off Piccadilly or halfway up a bank in Burslem.

Terraced streets are the daily reality here — the truck is sized for them.

The roads we know best

The A500 — the D road — carries most of the city's traffic and most of its breakdowns, from Wolstanton down to Sideway. The A50 picks up where it leaves off, heading past Fenton and Longton towards Blythe Bridge and Uttoxeter. Add the A34, the A53out to Leek, and the M6 a few minutes west at junctions 15 and 16, and you have our daily patch.

Stopped on the M6 or the A500? Get yourself and your passengers out of the vehicle and behind the barrier if it is safe, stay well away from live traffic, and call from there. A junction number or marker post helps us find you quickly.

What we recover here

  • Cars that will not start, at home or at the roadside
  • Vehicles damaged in collisions, once the scene is safe
  • Misfuelled vehicles, straight from the forecourt
  • Vans and light commercial vehicles
  • Auction purchases and project cars, running or not

Every job starts the same way: call07751 988 121, tell us where the vehicle is and what state it is in, and we will confirm availability and price before anything moves.

A local firm, honestly run

Six Towns Recovery is a local, independent operation — one number, answered by the people who do the work. We will not promise an arrival time we cannot keep, or quote a price that changes when the truck turns up. What we agree on the phone is what happens.
