Misfuelling happens to careful people every day. What you do in the next five minutes makes the difference between an inconvenience and an expensive repair.
If you have just misfuelled: stop
Do not start the engine. Do not turn the ignition on. If you are at the pump, tell the forecourt staff, put the vehicle in neutral and push it clear with help if it is safe to do so — then call us.
Starting the engine circulates the wrong fuel through the system and can turn a straightforward drain into serious damage. A vehicle that has not been started is in the best possible position.
What we do
We recover misfuelled vehicles from forecourts, roadsides and driveways across the Stoke-on-Trent area and transport them to a garage or fuel-drain specialist of your choice, where the tank and fuel system can be dealt with properly.
If the engine has already been run, do not panic — pull over safely as soon as you notice, switch off, and call us. We will recover the vehicle the same way; the garage will simply have more to check.
